Farragut is its own town. The search results do not know that.

We build websites and run managed channels for home-service and trades businesses in and around Farragut, from the Knoxville metro. This page is about what is different here, and what we would build for a business that works here.

Local context

Working in Farragut

Farragut is an incorporated town on the west side of Knox County, along Kingston Pike between West Knoxville and the Loudon County line, with the lake to the south and Pellissippi Parkway running past it to the north. Most of it was built as subdivisions from the 1980s onward, which means a lot of houses are now at the age where the roof, the heat pump and the original kitchen all come up for replacement in the same few years.

It is HOA country. Neighbourhoods have covenants, architectural rules and a board that notices a fence, a shed or a faded front door. That cuts both ways for a trade: the work has to be done to a standard, and one good job on a cul-de-sac is visible to every neighbour who has the same house and the same problem.

The customer here is usually a two-income household that searches during the working day and wants the job done on a Saturday. The expectation is a proper quote, a real invoice, and a crew that turns up when it said. A business that can show all three on its website before the call is most of the way to the booking.

Trades

The trades that fit Farragut

Subdivision work: the same house, the same age, the same problem, street after street. Routes, not drives.

  • Roofing and exteriors

Storm season lands on a lot of roofs of the same age at once. The insurance conversation is most of the sale, and the neighbours are watching whose sign goes up.

  • HVAC

Replacement, not just repair. Systems installed with the house are ageing out together, and a subdivision is a route.

  • Landscaping and lawn care

The HOA sets the standard and the neighbours enforce it. Recurring contracts on dense routes.

  • Fencing

Rules on height, material and placement in most neighbourhoods. The contractor who knows the covenants wins the quote.

  • Pools

Backyard pools are common enough here to support service, repair and opening and closing routes.

  • Kitchen and bath remodelling

Houses with the original kitchen. Big tickets, long decisions, and a customer who reads reviews for a month before calling.

  • Pressure washing

Brick, driveways, and HOA letters about the driveway. Seasonal, and nearly every house needs it.

  • Garage doors

Two-car garages on every house. A door that fails on a Monday morning gets fixed the same day by whoever ranks.

  • Pest control

Quarterly service sells well in HOA neighbourhoods, and the inspection letter comes with every resale.

Search and local presence

How people in Farragut search

From a phone, in the evening, at a kitchen island — and half of them call the place West Knoxville when they type.

  • Farragut or West Knoxville

Residents say Farragut. A lot of the searches that reach them say West Knoxville, because the map pack draws on where the searcher is standing, not on the town line. A Farragut business needs a page for each, written differently — not one page with both names in the title.

  • "Near me" decides the map pack

The typical search is a service plus "near me" from a house. The map pack shows three results, and the profile's reviews, categories and service areas decide whether you are one of them. The page decides whether they call.

  • Concord, Lenoir City, Hardin Valley

Real neighbours, real search terms. A Farragut crew crosses into Loudon County and up Pellissippi Parkway every week; the service area on the profile and the pages on the site should say so.

  • The town, not a radius

Google Business Profile service areas are set by place, not by drawing a circle. A radius from Farragut stretches across the lake to places you will not drive to. List the places.

What we would build for a Farragut business

Take a roofer based on the west side. This is the build, in order.

  1. 01

    The site

A page per service — replacement, storm damage, gutters — and a page per place: Farragut, West Knoxville, Concord, Hardin Valley, Lenoir City. Each written about the place, not the template with the name swapped. This page is the pattern.

  2. 02

    The Business Profile

A service-area business with the places listed and the address hidden. No storefront pin on a house. Categories chosen for the work you want most of, and a review request that goes out after every job, while the crew is still in the driveway.

  3. 03

    The first channel

Google Ads on search, targeted to Farragut and West Knoxville with the Loudon County side included, because the demand here is people who already need the job done this week. Local search work runs alongside so the map pack does the free version of the same thing.

  4. 04

    How it is measured

Call tracking and form tracking on every page. The monthly report leads with what a booked job cost, by service and by place. If Lenoir City books at twice the cost of Farragut, the budget moves.

Pricing

Pricing is published

The website build with a page per service area, and the managed channels that send people to them, are priced on one page — banded by account size, with the minimum ad spend published.

Questions people ask about Farragut

Should a Farragut business target "West Knoxville" too?

Yes, and separately. Different page, different copy, same profile. A lot of the people who would hire you think of themselves as living in West Knoxville, and the search results agree with them.

Do we need a Farragut address to show in the Farragut map pack?

No. A service-area business sets the places it serves on its Google Business Profile and hides the address. Proximity still matters — Google leans on where the searcher is — which is why the page about Farragut and the reviews that mention Farragut carry the weight.

Our neighbourhoods run on Facebook groups. Should we run Meta ads?

For remodelling, pools and outdoor work, often yes — after search is working. Meta creates demand in front of people who were not looking; search catches the ones who were. Start with the second, because it is the one that pays for the first.

Is Farragut too small to be worth its own campaign?

On its own, at the minimum spend, sometimes. That is why the campaign covers Farragut plus West Knoxville plus the places a crew actually drives to, and the report breaks the cost back out by place so you can see what each one is worth.
